I've been working on this for about 11 hours now! I'm still not used to doing digital art...

I really love vocaloid! I'm so glad I discovered Miku...

It's a bit of an ongoing debate. A lot of people don't like it because..
-robotic and emotionless sounding
-vocaloids aren't real
-sung by a computer
Those were the most common arguments made.

robotic/emotionless - I won't deny I thought it was totally creepy sounding at first but after giving it a chance I found the voices were actually very human like. Each character has their own recognizable voice. Real artists use auto tune right? Isn't that somewhat similar? You don't say "This music is trash. The singer sucks" just because they use auto tune, do you? What about daft punk? Please don't tell me you believe that voice is natural...

Not real! - No, the characters are not real. But, I don't think that people love vocaloid just because of the characters. People can buy this software and make their own music. I think that's amazing. Somebody put time and effort into writing those lyrics. There's a story behind them! I love watching the videos that are made for the songs. When I listen the video plays in my head, like a little movie with it's own personal soundtrack!

sung by a computer - Think of vocaloid like techno music... I love music. Music is my life. But i can neither play an instrument well or sing. So to me, the idea of being able to put my feelings out there is the form of music is fantastic! If only I could speak japanese...

I think the most important thing to remember is that there is no right or wrong when it comes to opinions. I love vocaloid and if people will respect my opinion then I will respect theirs
